Grid Innovation Scholarship


 

Scholarship Information

The Grid Innovation Scholarship provides up to three, $10,000 one-time scholarships to current Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering undergraduate students at the University of Utah, to support them as they pursue the Master’s program at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Utah.

$5000 of the scholarship will go towards a student’s graduate tuition and the additional $5000 will go directly to the student for work done for a Power Grid Innovation Master’s Research Project.

Student recipients will be required to work on projects on power grid innovation as part of their Masters Project course. Additional support may be available if students opt to work on other relevant research projects.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Student must be an upper-class student (junior or senior) completing their undergraduate degree requirements
  • Must meet Master’s program application requirements
  • Student must apply directly to the Master’s program after completing BS degree requirements
  • BS/MS and 4+1 students meet this scholarship’s criterion automatically
  • Student recipients will be required to work on projects on power grid innovation as part of their Master's project. Additional support may be available if students opt to work on other relevant research projects.

Application Information

Apply for the Grid Innovation Scholarship by completing the application below by November 30, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be announced by December 15, 2024.
